My name is Belinda Greb. I grew up in Southern California in rural Calabasas, and have lived in Portland, OR; New York, NY; Oakland, CA; and for most of the past 10 years in Vida, OR. I live in an area rich with wonderful hiking trails, lakes and rivers. I love to travel, when possible, and have been to Kenya, Peru, Europe, and Mexico, as well as numerous places in the US.
While I have been photographing for a long time, my passion reignited when I went digital. The ability not to have to worry about cost of film, processing, and whether I had the right speed film for a particular day, has freed me up creatively. In addition, my Photoshop skills (learned in NY while doing graphics work) really come in handy especially since the last few years I’ve been shooting in RAW format.
I just upgraded my camera from a Canon EOS 10D to a Canon EOS 5D Mark III. I have been using and loving the 28-70mm L series lens for some time, but look forward to eventually being able to upgrade my telephoto lens (currently an EF 75-300mm) and obtaining a 100 mm macro lens and wide-angle lens. The stuff my dreams are made of – 🙂 – aside from world peace of course. Despite the equipment, I’m always learning how to be a better photographer. Most of the time, I need to try to remember to stay focused and calm while shooting (I have a tendency to get really excited when wildlife is around).
I love high-resolution photographic prints (not just looking at pics on a computer monitor), and do my own printing on my Epson Stylus Pro 3880 that can handle wide format sizes and that uses pigment inks for superb long-lasting color.
I have a shop at Etsy called Radiance Cards Photos and am a member of FPOE (Female Photographers of Etsy). I also joined Fine Art America Belinda Greb Photography and Cards to give customers larger size, matting and framing options.
I hope you enjoy my words and images. If not, no worries, peace and joy to you anyways.
